The Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (FINKI) at the University “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje and the Institute for Crisis Management (IKM) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which officially begins a partnership aimed at developing and improving capacities in the field of crisis management, cybersecurity and digital transformation. Through this cooperation, the two institutions will work on joint projects of a national and international nature, will apply with initiatives to domestic and European funds, as well as to various research and development support programs. Additionally, the development of specialized applications and software solutions related to prevention, management and response to crisis situations is envisaged, with the involvement of students, young researchers and experts from both institutions. “Through this cooperation, we expect to build specific digital tools and systems that will contribute to faster response and efficient crisis management – at the national and local levels,” said the managements of FINKI and IKM.

Development of mobile and web applications for crisis management
Exchange of knowledge and experience through joint seminars, trainings and conferences
Involvement of students in practical activities and research
This Memorandum represents a significant step towards connecting academic staff and students with the needs of the real sector, with a focus on the security challenges of modern society.
