As part of the participation in the international NATO exercise EADRCC – “NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre Exercise – Bulgaria 2025”, the delegation of the Institute for Crisis Management – ICM Skopje held a successful working meeting with senior NATO representatives, including the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Ms. Radmila Šekerinska.
The meeting focused on the importance of building crisis management capacities at both regional and global levels, the need for innovation in disaster response, and the role of academic and research institutions in strengthening societal resilience. Special emphasis was placed on the active involvement of ICM Skopje in the implementation of innovative technologies such as CARE-XR, as well as in the development of simulation training modules for civil protection.
Ms. Šekerinska highlighted the importance of such partnerships and commended the Institute’s contribution to the exercise, as well as its long-term commitment to regional and international cooperation in the field of disaster management.
This meeting represents a new impetus for deepening cooperation between ICM Skopje and NATO institutions, aimed at enhancing capacities for prevention, preparedness, and response to crisis situations.
